Political Science PhD Student Receives Doctoral Diversity Fellowship

University of New Orleans student Erika del Pilar Burton is the recipient of the Doctoral Diversity Fellowship offered by the State of Louisiana Board of Regents. The native of Buenos Aires, Argentina earned a master’s degree in political science from UNO in the spring; she will begin a doctoral program in political science in the fall.

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must be an under-represented minority student accepted into a doctoral program with an undergraduate GPA of 3.25 or better or a graduate GPA of 3.6 or better.  The fellowship carries a tuition waiver, plus an annual $22,000 stipend for four years.
