The University of New Orleans will hold its annual Economic Outlook & Real Estate Forecast Seminar on Friday, June 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the University Center ballroom.
Registration and networking will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by opening remarks from UNO Acting Chancellor Joe King and John Williams, interim dean of the UNO College of Business Administration.
Ivan Miestchovich, director of the UNO Institute for Economic Development & Real Estate Research, will serve as moderator for a panel discussion on the regional economy and economic development. Panelists include Greg Rigamer, CEO of GCR & Associates Inc.; Michael Hecht, president and CEO of GNO, Inc.; Rodrick Miller, CEO of the NOLA Business Alliance; Kurt Weigle, president and CEO of the Downtown Development District; and interim dean John Williams.
Miestchovich will also moderate a pair of real estate panel discussions. The commercial real estate panelists include Bruce Sossaman, Equity Office Management, LLC; Barry Spizer, managing partner of SRSA Commercial Real Estate; and James Barse, associate broker with NAI/ Latter & Blum, Inc. The residential real estate panel discussion features Richard Haase, president of Latter & Blum, Inc. and Larry Schedler, president of Larry G. Schedler & Associates.
The cost to attend the seminar is $70 in advance (registering by Friday, June 10) and $80 at the door. The event is free to UNO faculty, staff and students, but they must register as well.
