University of New Orleans graduate student Kelly Fleenor is one of six scholarship recipients from the Louisiana Legislative Women’s Caucus Foundation. Fleenor is pursuing a master’s degree in counselor education in the UNO College of Education and Human Development.
The scholarship was created in 2010 by Louisiana’s women legislators. The six recipients represent the first group to earn the $500 scholarship, which will be used to defray the cost of tuition, books or room and board. The Foundation’s Educational Opportunity Scholarships will be presented at the Women of Excellence Awards & Scholarship Gala on Wednesday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Baton Rouge Marriott.
