Social entrepreneur Brian Bordainick, who has been featured on CNN, ESPN and the Today Show, will speak on the campus of the University of New Orleans on Thursday, February 9 as part of the Public Administration Student and Alumni Association speaker series. Bordainick will make his presentation at 5:30 p.m. in room 211 of Milneburg Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Bordainick is an entrepreneur-in-residence at The Idea Village and the founder and executive director of the 9th Ward Field of Dreams, which raised $2 million in two years to build a state-of-the-art community sports complex in the Upper 9th Ward. Bordainick is also a consultant with Social Entrepreneurs of New Orleans. He previously served as a public/nonprofit partnership advisor for the City of New Orleans. He is also a former teacher, coach and athletic director. In 2009 he was honored with the Eddie Robinson Award, presented at the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The Public Administration Student and Alumni Association represents the Master of Public Administration program at the University of New Orleans.
