UNO To Host Arab Spring Lecture

The World Affairs Council of New Orleans and the Bachelor of Arts in International Studies program at the University of New Orleans will present a pair of speakers who will discuss the Arab Spring on January 18. As part of the Engage America Speaker Series, two experts will deliver “Arab Spring: Prospects For Democracy” at 12:30 p.m. in Kirschman Hall, room 222, on the UNO campus.

The speakers will be Les Campbell of the National Democratic Institute and Tom Garrett of the International Republican Institute. They will discuss the roots and causes of the Arab Spring and how prepared countries are for transitions of leadership and governance.
