Nearly A Quarter Of All CityBusiness Money Makers Are UNO Graduates

Nearly one quarter of the people honored in the inaugural class of Money Makers from New Orleans CityBusiness are graduates of the University of New Orleans. Money  Makers recognizes the financial professionals whose fiscal work has set the pace for their companies and the region. 11 of the 49 honorees are UNO alumni, making UNO the most heavily represented university on the entire list.

CityBusiness readers submitted nominations which were reviewed by a selection committee. Honorees were selected based how their fiscal work and achievements affect their company and impact the metropolitan area. According to CityBusiness, their efforts provide a model of professionalism and show the willingness to go beyond the call of duty. The honorees were divided into four categories: banking, corporate, investments and professionals.

The UNO alumni honored as Money Makers are: Jeff Ehlinger, Hancock Bank senior vice president and corporate banking manager; Steve Hemperly, Capital One Bank Greater New Orleans market president; Herbert Carter III, Sun Belt Conference chief financial officer; Annette LeBlanc, Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana chief operating officer; Gregg Moreau, Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans chief financial officer; Robert Penick, Latter and Blum chief financial officer and vice president; Thomas Pennison Jr. , iSeatz chief financial officer; Alan Thriffiley, The McDonnel Group administrative manager; Damon Burns, Morgan Keegan vice president; Robert Folse, Folse Financial owner and financial consultant; and Peter Ricchiuti, A.B. Freeman School of Business assistant dean and director of research.
