The fall 2011 issue of the
UNO Magazine is now available online. You can view the issue by visiting
http://magazine.uno.edu and clicking on Fall 2011. The cover story features alumnus Kirk Coco who founded NOLA Brewing Company, the only production brewery in the city of New Orleans. An accompanying story showcases the class project of UNO history major Drew Rowland who created the website
www.nolabrewhistory.com. The site is an online database that documents the history of breweries and bars in New Orleans.
The fall 2011 issue includes stories about the UNO-Japan summer study abroad program, a talented UNO student cartoonist, a a graduate student who cycled hundreds of miles to raise money for disaster relief, Sasha Masakowski and Musical Playground and parents who are honoring their daughter's memory through a scholarship at UNO. The issue also contains news from athletics and alumni.
