Louis V. Paradise has been named interim provost and vice chancellor of academic and student affairs at the University of New Orleans by Acting Chancellor Joe M. King.
Paradise is a professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling and Foundations in the College of Education and Human Development. He previously served for 11 years as provost and executive vice chancellor at UNO.
"Dr. Paradise was a strong leader for UNO when he previously served in this capacity,” said Acting Chancellor Joe M. King. “I appreciate Dr. Paradise’s willingness to help the university during this time of transition and look forward to working together with him in the coming months."
"It is with great pleasure that I step into this role,” Paradise said. “I will do my best to ensure that the time between now and the hiring of a new president is a productive period. I know the faculty and staff of UNO, and know that they rise to every occasion and are ready for UNO's next stage in life."
