Freshmen Move-In Day 2011

August 19, 2011

The University of New Orleans held its annual Freshmen Move-In Day on August 18, as dozens of students, staff and faculty volunteers helped new freshmen move into Pontchartrain Hall. Freshmen students living on campus are allowed first dibs on getting situated in the residence halls. The day concluded with a welcome cookout for freshmen students and their families.

Freshmen Move-In Day is a joint project of a number of campus departments including admissions, orientation, student involvement and leadership, student housing, and university success. Welcome Week, which begins Monday, August 22, is packed with activities and events to welcome students back to campus during the first week of classes.  To see the full schedule of activities, visit www.sil.uno.edu.
