Only Ticketholders to Be Admitted to President's Event
10/13/2009
(October 13 2009, New Orleans, La.) - University of New Orleans administrators are asking those who do not have tickets to attend President Obama's Town Hall meeting on Thursday, October 15 to avoid visiting the campus that day.
The University is expecting a significant increase in traffic and parking on and near campus will be difficult. Additionally, several of the roads leading to the campus will be closed in advance of the President's visit.
Scheduled classes will go on as usual and the increase in traffic may make it challenging for UNO students to attend class.
Accommodations will not be available for those without tickets. The U.S. Secret Service and White House staff will only allow ticketholders into the event, so the best way to view the event for non-ticketholders will be through live television or Webcast coverage. Several media outlets will be broadcasting the event live.
