Austrian Ambassador Prosl to Speak at UNO on October 1

(September 16, 2009, New Orleans, La.) - The University of New Orleans Center Austria will present a talk by Christian Prosl, Austrian Ambassador to the United States, on October 1 at 10 a.m. in Room 407 of the Earl K. Long Library. Prosl will speak on The State of Transatlantic Relations: Austria, the European Union and the United States.

Prosl, who became Ambassador to the United States in May 2009, previously served as Austrian Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany, First Secretary in London and Counselor for Economic Affairs in Washington, D.C. Prosl studied law and foreign language/literature at the University of Vienna, holds a doctorate in law and continued post-graduate studies at the Institute of Advanced International Studies in Geneva.
