Memorial Gift to UNO Kabacoff School Establishes Randall E. Knowles Scholarship Fund

(July 15, 2009, New Orleans, La.) - The University of New Orleans, Lester E. Kabacoff School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration (HRT) has received a $100,000 gift to establish the Randall E. Knowles Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Student recipients of the scholarship, established by Dr. Ralph Knowles to honor the memory of his late son Randall, will be selected based on academic performance, hospitality work experience, financial need, extracurricular involvement and personal attributes.
The University of New Orleans (UNO), the urban research University of the State of Louisiana, provides essential support for the educational, economic, cultural and social well-being of the culturally rich and diverse New Orleans metropolitan area. It opened its doors in 1958 as part of the Louisiana State University System "to bring public-supported higher education to Louisiana's largest urban community."
