'Moving Ahead' Theme of Free UNO Hospitality Seminar on June 12

The Hospitality Industry: Moving Ahead is the theme of the annual free seminar on the hospitality industry to be presented on June 12 from 9 a.m. to noon by the University of New Orleans, Lester E. Kabacoff School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration.
The seminar will be held in the LaSalle Ballroom of the InterContinental New Orleans Hotel, 444 St. Charles Ave.
G. Randle McCaslin, vice president in the Houston office of PKF Consulting, will speak on the national and regional outlook for the hospitality industry, and John A. Williams, professor and director of the UNO Kabacoff School, will present an overview of the industry in New Orleans.
Martin L. Driskell, general manager of the InterContinental Hotel New Orleans, will lead a panel discussion. Panelists will include:
- Sean Hunter, director of aviation, Louis Armstrong International Airport;
- Robert L. "Bob" Johnson, president and general manager of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center;
- Sean Malone, president of the New Orleans Chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant Association;
- Ted Selogie, president of the Greater New Orleans Hotel & Lodging Association;
- Doug Thornton, senior vice president of SMG.
Jim Logan, dean of the UNO College of Business Administration, will also address guests.
