Members of the University of New Orleans Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers represented the University at the organization's fall regional conference held October 30-November 1 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Member Corey Lombard was recognized as Vanguard Member of the Year and the UNO chapter was named Chapter of the Month for September 2009.

UNO students participating in the regional conference were chapter president Daishaun Sylva-Senette, Gregory Garnett, Zazenski Garrison, Anthony Jackson, Curtis Lawrence, Lombard, Adedeji Oduwole and Steve Onabamiro.
