In its first competition, the University of New Orleans Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity Mock Trial Team defeated Citadel Military College and was the only team among 40 to receive the Ethics and Professionalism Award at the Hurricane Invitational held over the Halloween weekend in Miami, Florida.

Team witness Michael Darmas won the overall witness award and four individual top witness awards. Team captain Artis Ulmer won four individual top attorney awards, Khalid Samarrae won three, and Keelin Billue won two.

The UNO Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity Mock Trial Team was formed this semester.
