Paris Piano Trio to Perform UNO Musical Excursions Concert on November 12
10/20/2009

The Paris Piano Trio will perform on Thursday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the University of New Orleans Performing Arts Center Recital Hall as part of the UNO 2009 Musical Excursions Concert Series.
The Paris Piano Trio includes French solo greats Regis Pasquier on violin, Roland Pidoux on cello and Jean-Claude Pennetier on piano. The three have performed together since they were united by the love of chamber music while students at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris. They first toured together when Pasquir was just 13 years old. Each graduated with top honors from the Conservatory where all three are now professors.
The Paris Piano Trio, described by the Buffalo News as "subtle, stunningly accomplished and faultlessly in synch," will perform works by Beethoven, Ravel and Schubert.
The 2009-10 UNO Musical Excursions Guest Artist series, presented by the UNO Department of Music and the Graduate Program in Arts Administration, will continue on February 2 with the Quartet Vivace Brasil and on April 6 with pianist Yeol Eum Som.
