How River Deltas Work: Patterns and Dynamics of Distributive Fluvial Systems will be the topic of a free lecture to be presented by Rudy Slingerland, a research associate with the Pennsylvania State University Earth and Environmental Systems Institute, on Thursday, November 5 at 4 p.m. in the Chemical Sciences Building, Room 103.

The talk is presented by the UNO Student Chapter of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

Slingerland's current research interests include sedimentology and deterministic models.
